STEPS in Email Marketing
1. Acquire a database of email
ids.
2. Segment(subset) the database
into lists based on:

3. Signup for email service
providers.

4. Create a email campaign
5. Select the email list and
send
Creating Email campaign using MailChimp
Mail chimp has a way of providing free emails upto a
certain level.
No need to put credit card information to use this service.
Goto MailChimp.com and signup.
Click on continue and then enter some personal details like address
Finally you see campaigns , Audience(Lists) , Reports…
Now select “campaigns”
Then click on “Create Campaign”
Now select “Email” in the upcoming dialog box.
Next give campaing name
Now click on “Begin”
In the next screen select “Add recipients”
Now in the next screen, select
“Import contacts”
Now choose “Integrated service” and then “Google contacts”
Now click on “Continue Setup “ button which will be in the bottom of the
screen
Now in the next screen and click on “Continue to Match” while selecting all
fields.
Make sure you click on “I understand “check box “ then only “Continue To
Match “ button enabled in the bottom
Now if you find “skip All” then click on it.
“SkipAll” will appear if FirstName ,
LastName , Title , Organization , Address(W,H,O) not available for your email contacts.
Later click on “ContinueToOrganise” button
Now in the next screen , Select “News letter “ for
“Tag All Contacts” and choose “subscribed” as status of these contacts.
Also check “update existing contacts”
Now click on “Continue To Review “
button
Now in the next screen , click “Import”
Now enter “From “ , “Subject “ and “Content” fields.
Finally when you click on “Design Email” àSelect Templateà choose “Basic”
-à”one column” and click on it.
Now upload an image in “Logo” column.
And give some description about the news in the next column.
you can click on “continue” to continue the campaign.
Finally click on “Send”
Finally have a look at “reports”
